Buyende locals urged to embrace MAAIF Programs

Buyende Locals urged to grab MAAIF program that was made during the Buyende District women celebrations which encourages the women to utilise the mechanised farm tractors which was received from the ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries ( MAAIF) through their women member of Parliament Hon. Nakato Mary.

At the celebrations of Women’s Day for Buyende District on Thursday also the head office of the National Chairman (O.N.C) of the ruling party , Hajjat Namyalo Hadijja Uzeiya commended the women leadership for keeping the development in the community.

The celebration took place at Cope Primary School in Buyende town council. However, Hajjat Namyalo was delivered by the ONC deputy public Relations officer Dr. Brenda Tibamwendal. The message which was delivered by Dr Tibamwenda asked the people to care for the inputs and they should not be dominated by other members but instead let them join the development.

Therefore 14 tractors with one farm tractor were given to the group members. The Dr challenges women to be pullers of their family by joining the campaign of battling against poverty, early marriage, and teenage pregnancies in our community.

Nevertheless Hon. Nakato Mary of Buyende District, women member of Parliament, says that the District is trying day and night to see that it’s people in Buyende can achieve that which government programs, which help to fight poverty in the areas of Buyende District, aim for.

Also, Hon. Nakato thanked Dr Tibamwenda for sparing time and accepting to grace the function of celebrations for Women’s Day.
